Weddings at Mapperton House & Gardens, Dorset
Last week, I had the pleasure of working with the brilliant Charlie at The Real Cut Flower Garden, to create this gorgeous shoot at Mapperton House and Gardens in Dorset. The beautiful dresses were supplied by Belle and Bunty, and all accessories were the girls' own (spot the desert boots if you can!). I photographed the most wonderful wedding at Mapperton last June, when Paula and Tim tied the knot on midsummer's day, and it instantly became one of my favourite wedding venues. The incredible gardens are tucked away in a valley in the Dorset countryside and are filled with nooks and crannies to explore, with stone grottoes and walkways, an old pool and wild garden, and a beautiful orangery. To add to that, there is also the gorgeous manor house, old English roses climbing everywhere and views stretching miles into the distance. And doors. So many gorgeous old doors!
So, with Charlie's gorgeous flowers from the Real Cut Flower Garden, and the girls in those stunning Belle and Bunty dresses, I was completely in my element! It really was a joy to photograph - here are a selection of the images...
Becca and Adam get married at Bovey Castle
Congratulations to the gorgeous Becca and Adam, who celebrated their wedding in style yesterday at magnificent Bovey Castle on Dartmoor. I met Becca two years ago, when she was a bridesmaid when I photographed her sister Natalie's wedding. I loved seeing all their family again, and it was really special to share another wonderful event with them all. And it really was wonderful! Becca and Adam's wedding ceremony took place in the stunning Cathedral Room, and was followed by a day of celebrations that included ferret racing, stilt walkers, two fantastic bands and an amazing fire performance on the South Terrace. I can't even begin to show you all of the day at this point, but just wanted to quickly edit a few preview images for Becca and Adam to see before they head off on honeymoon... I hope you like them!

Family photography at Saunton Sands
Here is a little preview from a fun extended family shoot on Saunton Sands last Friday - in between chasing runaway toddlers and dodging an enormous surf school outing, we managed to capture some wonderful memories for this family on holiday in Devon. I can't wait to share the full set with them all - for now, here is a little peek at a few of my favourite images.

A pub wedding in a marquee: congratulations Michaela & Jon!
I loved yesterday's wedding at Beaconside House in North Devon. Michaela and Jon met in a pub, love spending time together at their favourite pubs and so styled their wedding marquee to feel just like being at the pub with all their friends and family. With a bar made by Jon's uncle, a collection of retro lampshades, decanters and vases, and their own personalised beer mats and pub sign, it was a glorious success, and a brilliant day to be a part of. There was also a beautiful and personal humanist ceremony in a woody glade, the tossing of a homemade caber, some of the most emotional speeches and lots of fantastic dance floor action, but I'll save all that for a longer blog post. Here is a little preview of their day - congratulations Dr & Dr Livingstone-Banks!

Family photography at Windout Farm
These are some images from a wonderful family shoot I did recently - photographing the gorgeous Ursell family at home on their organic farm near Exeter. With four young children, it was a wonderfully chaotic shoot, which included my entire repertoire of incorrect animal noises, lots of running around, hiding, jumping and general silliness. Basically just a whole lot of fun! The farm provided a really fantastic location for the images, with the rolling Devon hills in the background and the amazing converted barn for some indoor fun. By the way, this wonderful barn is available for wedding hire.... just saying...! Have a look here if you're interested in more information about it. Here are a few of my favourite images from the family shoot...
I hope you enjoyed the images! You can also like my page on Facebook to show your support and stay in touch with my work, thank you.
All photographed at Windout Farm, Tedburn St Mary.
