Tipis, cider and apple blossom: Phaedra & George get married in Somerset

Oooh, I think you might like this...  Phaedra and George got married last Saturday - the sun shone, the apple blossom was in bloom, the tipis were spectacular and George's cider was flowing merrily.  It was a beautiful day and here is a little preview of some of my favourite images.  Big congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Perry!

A wedding at Haldon Belvedere: Nat and David get married in a castle

Great big congratulations to Nat and David!  They celebrated their wedding in style yesterday with a ceremony at the beautiful Haldon Belvedere in Devon, the afterwards at the Lord Haldon Hotel.  Here are a few of my favourite images - I love Natalie and her Dad walking up the spiral staircase at the beginning of the ceremony, what an amazing last few steps to take before you get married...

Somerset engagement photography: Nat and David preview

This is just a quick preview, as there are so many more lovely images from this shoot that I will share in a longer blog post soon.  Natalie and David are getting married at the end of May in the beautiful Haldon Belvedere, which I'm really looking forward to.  In the meantime, we had a really fun session at Burnham-on-Sea, getting blown around the beach and dodging the sinking patches of mud!  I loved this shot of Nat and David together by the lighthouse on the beach and I hope you like it too:

Newborn twin photography session: Bertie and Polly

A little while ago I had the pleasure of photographing newborn twins, Bertie and Polly, at their home in Ashburton, Devon.  It is always amazing, to be invited into the home of people who have just had a baby, as it is just such an incredible milestone in people's lives.  And in this case, not one but two beautiful babies, so something really quite special to capture. When I photograph newborns, I concentrate on building up a picture of them, from the tiny little fingers and toes, to the downy hair on their bodies, to their delicate features. Without using any overly constructed poses, I capture the details of the babies as naturally as I can.  It is always lovely to see them nestling in to their parents, and with twins it was just wonderful to see babies snuggling comfortably up with each other.   I love the image of Bertie and Polly cupped gently in their parents' hands, and I absolutely adore the yawns and stretches from both of them.  I hope you enjoy seeing a selection of the photographs from the session:
