Exeter family newborn photography

I photographed this beautiful family recently in Exeter, with gorgeous newborn baby Anna and her two sisters.  It was particularly wonderful to return to this family, as I photographed the sisters a couple of years ago when they were tiny.  It was so lovely to see them all growing together and the older girls being amazing with their new sister.  Here is a little peek at their session...

A family photography session on a Cornish beach

What better way to celebrate a big birthday, than to enjoy a holiday in Cornwall with your whole family, and capture these wonderful memories with a photo session on the beach!  Which is how I found myself photographing this wonderful extended family last week, celebrating Granny Tess's 60th birthday.  We had a brilliant afternoon, building sandcastles, splashing in puddles and braving the waves at Sandymouth beach near Bude.   Here is a just a tiny preview of the images:

A gorgeous tipi wedding in Somerset: Eve and Tim

I really do love a tipi wedding, and Eve and Tim's relaxed and rustic celebrations did not disappoint - it was an absolutely beautiful day.  They got married earlier this year near Taunton, in Somerset, on a beautiful sunny August day.  The ceremony took place at one of my favourite churches, the stunning North Curry, with the tipi reception in Tim's parents' back garden at Coal Harbour, Ham.  The house is only accessible via the suspension bridge and it was brilliant to capture all the wedding guests wobbling across it on the way to the reception.  It was also really special to capture Eve and Tim walking across it for the first time as a married couple, and to photograph them watching the sun setting from the same spot later in the evening.

It was a wedding that had me welling up behind the camera on many occasions.  Watching Eve and Tim beaming at each other all day long was wonderful enough, but there were many other points in the day that were hugely charged with emotion, including some really fantastic moments on the dance floor later in the evening.  Photographing emotion like this is such an important aspect of a wedding day for me, as I think that these are the moments that bring your wedding photography to life and really take you back to the day when you look through the images again. It was amazing watching Eve on the dance floor, with her wonderful new husband, surrounded by friends and family, overwhelmed with emotion at the utter joy of it all. I absolutely loved the whole day and I have been really looking forward to putting these photos up on the blog.  Here is a look at their fabulous wedding day:

Newborn family photography in Devon: Clare, Nick and Darcey

Just over two years ago, I photographed Clare and Nick's beautiful wedding ceremony at Haldon Belvedere.  Today I did something completely different with them, but equally wonderful - photographed them at home with their ten day old baby daughter, Darcey.  Darcey, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you!  Here is a little peek at this gorgeous new family:
