An extended family shoot in East Devon
I had a brilliant morning on the beach at gorgeous Beer with this extended family recently. They were enjoying a family holiday all together, celebrating Nick and Pemma's 40th wedding anniversary, so it was really lovely to capture some images of them all together during that time. I love the gentle tones of the pebbles, sea and sky at Beer - it gave us a gorgeous backdrop for the images. Here are a few from their shoot...

Family photography in North Devon
I love the big wide beaches in North Devon, so I was really delighted to photograph this lovely extended family at Saunton Sands recently. In fact, my whole family were delighted, as we all drove up together and my children and dog disappeared off exploring the beach with my husband, while I had fun in the sand dunes taking photos. Perfect! And obviously, if there are sand dunes there, they are begging children (and adults!) to leap off them...
I had a wonderful follow up email from father/grandfather Trevor, which I'd like to share part of here:
"The photos you took were wonderful and a true representation of our extended family. It is great to be able to see so many pictures of my children with their families enjoying 'the shoot'... Your professional approach and relaxed handling of us all was excellent and I am sure that added to the enjoyment shown so clearly in your pictures... You made me feel I had known you for a long time and in fact you were, on that day, a member of our family. That is true professionalism."
Huge thanks to Trevor for the kind words, and to all of this lovely family for being so much fun!
I hope you enjoyed the images! You can also like my page on Facebook here if you'd like to stay in touch with my work. Thank you, your support is very much appreciated!

Congratulations Hannah and Rob!
Yesterday was incredible - a spectacular tipi wedding, with the most relaxed and enjoyable of celebrations in the warm May sunshine. It was such a beautiful day - I can't begin to say how stunning Hannah's dress was, or how beautiful the flowers and styling of the tipi, how much fun everyone had with the fairground games and photo booth. I'll have to save all of that for another blog post, with a whole lot more images! In the meantime here is one little tiny preview... huge big congratulations to the lovely Hannah and Rob. I can't wait to share the rest of your gorgeous images with you very soon!
Newborn photography at home: the Northam family
I loved this moment above with Lisa, Nick and their newborn boy, Elliott. I asked them to sit together and pause for a moment, just to think about the fact that they had just created this beautiful baby. In all the madness of the first few days of a new baby, it is amazing to just spend some time contemplating it all as well, and incredibly special for me to be able to capture that with my camera. I photographed Lisa and Nick's gorgeous wedding day back in 2012, so they feel very much like old friends now. Since then, their lovely Old English Bulldog Alice has joined the family (I did promise you more dogs and babies!). And now, another wonderful new addition. Elliott was just five days old when I photographed their new family together, so it was an incredible privilege for me to spend some of that special time at home with them. Here are a few images from their session:
