Family photography at Windout Farm

The Ursell family playing on the grass together

These are some images from a wonderful family shoot I did recently - photographing the gorgeous Ursell family at home on their organic farm near Exeter. With four young children, it was a wonderfully chaotic shoot, which included my entire repertoire of incorrect animal noises, lots of running around, hiding, jumping and general silliness. Basically just a whole lot of fun! The farm provided a really fantastic location for the images, with the rolling Devon hills in the background and the amazing converted barn for some indoor fun. By the way, this wonderful barn is available for wedding hire.... just saying...! Have a look here if you're interested in more information about it. Here are a few of my favourite images from the family shoot...

A pre-wedding shoot in the woods in Bristol: Becca & Adam

A couple cuddling beneath some trees

Becca and Adam's wedding at Bovey Castle is only a couple of weeks away now, so I thought I'd better blog a few of their engagement shoot before it's too late! We had a really lovely stroll around Leigh Woods in Bristol, chatting about all the wedding plans (sooo exciting!) and capturing some gorgeous images in the evening light. Here is a tiny peek at them, I'll look forward to sharing some wedding photographs very soon as well!

Hannah & Rob's beautiful tipi wedding in the Devon sunshine

Hannah and Rob celebrated their wedding in the beautiful May sunshine last month. It was an absolutely wonderful day. Hannah and her bridesmaids all looked incredible in their dresses, which were specially designed by Caroline Fricker. Hannah's beautiful silk dress was edged with the most delicate lace flowers and leaves, which she also had pinned into her hair. Sarah Pepper supplied Hannah's beautiful bouquet, and the masses of other gorgeous flowers spilling from everywhere throughout the day. I loved the milk churns outside the church, and the rustic jugs, jars and other containers, and the amazing garlands up the poles of the tipi.

Their ceremony took place at the church next door to their house in East Devon. They celebrated afterwards at in the gardens at Hannah's Mum's house nearby, with an amazing village fete themed reception, with tipis supplied by World Inspired Tents, garden games, a lemonade bar, a string quartet, a photo booth and much more. Mismatched vintage tea cups and plates helped make the tables look so pretty, and the overall look and final styling was all pulled together brilliantly by the fantastic Little Wedding Helper.

It was the perfect lazy, long garden party in glorious warm sunshine. After champagne and canapés, guests enjoyed a relaxed cream tea in the tipi, followed by more games and fun outdoors and an hilarious ceilidh in the evening to finish. The tipis looked spectacular in the gardens and I loved photographing them as the daylight faded, with the ceilidh in full flow inside, and the moon and Venus twinkling up above. It was lovely to find Hannah and Rob sitting on the steps, having a quiet moment and watching everything in the darkness. Here is a look at their wonderful May wedding...
